building something out of knotting
morning conversations in the kitchen

the body is wrapped as the paper
wraps around a box

as it repeats itself
familiarity becomes strangeness
clothes become the things that surround us
but what happens when nothing happens?
this study-collection is focused on experiments regarding the silhouettes and textures that communicate through each other, being a continuous project that aims to create new, absurd arrangements between objects, garments, everyday acts, and situations. there is a certain tension between the craft of the clothes themselves and the humble, found materials and objects, that draws inspiration from ready-made. the contradiction between the uselessness and the functionality of the garment/object is questioned and explored directly through the transformative potential of the surroundings and its traced objects.
this page is about recollecting pieces from the body of work done and photographed in the last years (2022-2024), arranged in order to put them in conversation with one another
moreover, towards a spontaneous imitation of fashion campaigns, the juxtaposition of pictures and videos that show mundane situations, muted interviews and documented glimpses captured during the process, contains the feeling of everyday materiality by the means of repetition and boredom
most of the materials and scenery props used in the making of the clothing and of the images are found, second-hand, leftovers or resourced from home, from walking around and gained with the help and support of friends and family, which i am really thankful for
